Lancia Beta Spider 1600 – 1976

Lancia Beta Spider 1600, year 1976. Chassis (VIN) number 828AS00011XX, engine number FF V9 S62 43144XX. Colour white with a black roof panel and black rear soft-top. Brown vinyl interior with cognac brown leatherette seats. This beautiful Lancia Beta Spider was sold new to Mrs. Marta Rossi in Ancona Italy. The car was imported from Italy by Montagna d’Oro in 2006 after which it was sold to the current owner who has cherished the car for sixteen years. The car was punctually and perfectly serviced by the Fiat-Lancia representative in Leeuwarden (NL). All the invoices are present. The timing belt was renewed in June 2022. The odometer currently reads 54.595, the service history shows that the car has driven 154.595 kilometres from new. The Lancia Beta Spider was designed by PininFarina and built by Zagato. In the USA the car was named Lancia Zagato. The production process was very complex, and Lancia probably never made any profit on the exclusive hand-built Spider. Beta Coupé bodies were sent to Zagato for the ‘decapitation’, then sent back to Lancia for rustproofing, then again sent to Zagato for paint, interior and trim, and back to Lancia for the installation of the engine, gearbox, and final assembly. Only 9.390 examples were built, the Lancia Beta Spider is a rare sight today. This excellent example comes from a caring long-term ownership!
