Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT 1800 – 1975

Year of construction 20-09-1975. Chassis number AR 116.10*00125XX*, engine number AR01608S*297XX*. Color red (AR501) combined with a black/anthracite leatherette/fabric interior finished with black carpet. The carpet is protected by red/black rubber protective mats.

The Alfetta GT 1800 was designed by Giugiaro and introduced in 1973. The early 1800 model can be recognized by the model name on the top right of the boot lid and by the fuel filler flap on the rear left. With the introduction of the Alfetta (Berlina) in 1972, Alfa Romeo introduced the new rear-axle mounted ‘transaxle’ gearbox/final drive which allowed an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

Furthermore, the Alfetta has a fully independent suspension, an aluminum engine block with twin camshafts, disc brakes all around and a five-speed gearbox. A very sporty package! This beautiful Alfetta GT was recently imported from Italy where the car was sold new to Mr. Claudio Ottaviani from Foligno (PG). The odometer is currently at 12,238 km.

This Alfetta GT is in superb condition and the car drives perfectly! The body is completely rust free and was given a perfect new paint in the original color a few years ago. All original spot welds are still visible. The interior is in perfect condition, as are the beautiful Alfa Speedline alloy wheels. A total of 21,947 units of the GT 1800 were built from 1973 to 1976, nowadays the GT 1800 is a rarity.

This beautiful copy is a fantastic find for the Alfa Romeo enthusiast. These early Alfetta GT models are very hard to find!
