Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 1600 – 1963

Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint, year 1963.

White exterior colour (Bianco Gardenia) combined with a ‘two-tone’ blue/grey interior.
The seats are covered with dark blue Alcantara with grey cloth centres and blue leathercloth sides.
Blue carpet and blue sun visors complete the interior.
This gorgeous Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint was sold new in Italy.
In 2009 the car was imported to the Netherlands.
Then the car was extensively restored and overhauled, a photo report and many invoices of the works are present in the history file.
The interior was also newly upholstered.
The 1570 cc twin-cam four-cylinder engine, the five speed gearbox, the clutch, and the brakes (drum brakes around) work and operate perfectly.
The engine sound and exhaust note are truly addictive!
The car is fitted with wonderful alloy wheels shod with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres and a fast filler petrol cap on the left back.
The latter is a modification to prevent petrol fumes entering the interior because the original petrol filler cap is located inside the boot.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta/Giulia Sprint was designed by Bertone and introduced in 1954. The Giulietta was renamed Giulia in 1962 to fit within the new model programme.
The Giulia 1600 Sprint is the final edition of this very successful Alfa Romeo model series. Only 7100 cars of this final edition were built.
This example is in a very good to excellent condition throughout, and it will be a great driver car to participate in challenging and fun historic touring events!
