Austin-Healey Sprite Mk I – 1958

Austin Healey Sprite MK 1, year 1958. Colour Old English White combined with a red leather interior trimmed with white piping and red carpet. The car comes with a black soft-top and an original hard-top.
This is a very desirable MK 1 Austin Healey Sprite which is usually nicknamed ‘Frog Eye’ or ‘Bug Eye’. These small, spartan, and sporty British sports cars are a joy to drive and to be seen with, onlookers give their thumbs up, and many passers-by express their adoration for the car.
You and your co-driver will be driving round with a big ear-to-ear grin on your faces.
This Austin Healey Sprite is in a good condition and the car drives delightfully. The original 948 cc engine was replaced by a more powerful 1098 cc unit.
The engine breathes though two S.U. carburettors, an alternator was fitted, and the electrical system was modified from positive ground to negative ground. Furthermore, the car is fitted with a sports steering wheel with a wood rim, and beautiful 13-inch alloy Minilite style wheels shod with Fulda 155/70 R13 tyres.
The boot of the car can be reached from behind the seats, the ‘bug eye’ does not feature a regular boot lid.
The Austin Healey Sprite MK 1 is a very popular classic, this delightful ‘bug eye’ is waiting to please a proud new owner!
