BMW 2002 Touring – 1974

Original Dutch delivered BMW 2002 Touring Rally, which has been owned by the current family since 1975.

At the time, the BMW was bought in Zandvoort as a “Sunday” car next to the Landrover for daily work and the Karmann Ghia for rallies. After the death of the then owner (uncle of the family) in 2007, this 2002 was found in one of the garages, shining on 4 flat Kleber tires.

The car was completely disassembled and rebuilt in 2008, the engine was completely overhauled and equipped with new pistons, bearings, etc. The engine is also equipped with two double Weber carburettors and a spaghetti exhaust manifold for more power.
Furthermore, the car is equipped with new rubbers, wheel bearings and brake parts all around. A complete roll cage has been welded into the BMW and two bucket seats have been placed. The car was further decked out with the other rally stuff that was still found in the garage. After the total overhaul, the BMW was completely checked and well maintained after every rally season.
This 2002 has been on the rollers twice and the engine delivers about 140 hp.

Extensive documentation has been kept and available since the purchase of the car in 1975.
The car is therefore richly documented, including the purchase invoice, maintenance booklets and other maintenance invoices, etc., which have been preserved from the start.
From 2008 to the present, the current owner has driven this BMW 2002 with great pleasure and participated in various rallies.

This BMW Touring in Inka Orange with blue fabric bucket seats is not only a real eye-catcher, it is also a super reliable, sturdy and very suitable rally car for many years of driving pleasure. All rally equipment is included in the price.
