Heynsdyk 2500 SF – 1985

Heynsdyk 2500 SF convertible

In 2010 the new Dutch car brand Heynsdyk was founded by Ronald Heijnsdijk. A Porsche 944 was used as a donor for this roadster. The original body was completeley stripped and chassis and bottom plate were modified at Heynsdyk in Eindhoven. The customer then had the choice to have the entire car built at Heynsdyk or to take on this process himself. The use of the Porsche 944 drivetrain and the loss of 400 kg in weight compared to the original resulted in a lightweight, very sleek sports car. The production costs were so high that they exceeded Heynsdyk’s asking price, so that after 2 years and no more than 17 cars built, bankruptcy was filed. This makes a Heynsdyk a rare appearance.

This car was built by the owner himself, but with the help of Ronald Heijnsdijk on the basis of a 1985 944. The donor car was imported from Germany and has run 176,000 km. The original maintenance booklet is present and fully stamped. In bad weather, the removable hardtop can be used and there is a choice of a full (high) windscreen or a low aeroscreen, making the car an even more hardcore roadster. During the introduction, the Heynsdyk was awarded second prize in the innovation category during the Dutch Design week and was also praised by the press. This became very clear during a test drive; everywhere you show up, the car attracts a lot of attention and gets many thumbs up.
