Jensen Healey Mk1 – 1973

Jensen Healey, year 1973. Colour red with a black leather interior and a black vinyl soft-top. This wonderful Jensen-Healey was imported from the USA in the year 1988 and road-registered in the Netherlands in 1990. The car has known only one owner ever since. The car was extensively restored in several phases; this Jensen is in superb top-condition and the car drives impressively well. Also, the car was given some important upgrades: the 2.2 Litre Lotus engine was tuned and fitted with Lotus 107 camshafts, a long-life cam-belt with adjustable gears, forged (JE) pistons, a lightened fly-wheel, Dell’Orto 45 mm carburettors and electronic ignition. The engine delivers approximately 170 bhp. The gearbox is a Getrag Jensen-Healey Mk 2 unit with a modified final drive. Also, the brake-system was improved with larger (JHPS) aluminium 4-piston calipers and new drum brakes at the rear. The suspension was up-rated with Koni shock-dampers and a thicker (Jensen GT) stabilizer-bar. To complete this list of sports improvements the car was fitted with magnificent alloy Panasport racing wheels. Only about 10.000 Jensen-Healey cars were built from 1972 until 1976. This is a TOP specimen!
