A modern classic: that’s exactly what an SLS AMG is. After all, this stunning model is the spiritual successor to the legendary 300 SL, and this is reflected in corresponding details such as the distinctive single-bar grille, air vents behind the front screen, long nose and, of course, the famous wing doors! The coveted and precious coupé is also called ‘Gullwing’ because of these wing doors, meaning that the doors open upwards. A term usually only used for aircraft. The one we offer was delivered new in Germany to a renowned doctor in Aachen. In 2015, ownership passed to a close friend and the car is now from the third owner who also had ties to the first owner. The car has therefore always been serviced at the original Mercedes-Benz dealer. The car has been very well cared for and this is reflected in the car: it is in very good condition. The beautiful black paint ‘Obsidian Black’ contrasts beautifully with the original AMG-spoke wheels and chrome grille. The interior is also upholstered in black leather and is in immaculate condition. As an expensive option, the first owner opted for a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, which provides excellent sound. In addition, the car – unlike many other supercars – is practical, luxurious and comfortable in the interior, including seat heating, a reversing camera and flippers for the 7-speed gearbox. General information on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
The SLS AMG (SLS stands for Super Leicht Sport) was introduced in 2009 as the successor to the SLR McLaren. The car was designed as a spiritual successor to the 300 SL and its design was inspired by it. A traditional design with the engine at the front and rear-wheel drive. However, the specifications are contemporary. The 6.2-litre V8 has a beautiful, characteristic AMG sound and is incredibly powerful, in the SLS AMG this engine is good for 571 HP and a whopping 650 nm of torque! With that, the SLS AMG goes from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 315 km/h. Named ”international engine of the year” and ”best performance engine” in 2009 and 2010. Because its successor – the AMG GT – is equipped with a smaller 4.0 V8, the SLS AMG is Mercedes’ last supercar with the famous 6.2-litre engine, which also makes the car interesting for investors.
