Porsche 914 2.0 – 1972
Porsche 914 2.0 ‘Wide Body‘, year 1972. Colour Signal Orange combined with a black cloth interior. The bodywork of this fantastic Porsche 914 2.0 was modified to ‘Wide Body’ specifications in the past. The extended fenders / wings were made of sheet metal. This Porsche 914 looks extremely sporty and purposeful with its low stance and wonderful wide Fuchs style wheels shod with 225/50-15 tires at the front, and 245/40-15 tires at the back. The looks are not just show, the 2 litre 135 bhp four-cylinder boxer engine was tuned and fitted with an electric petrol injection system. To handle the additional power, the car was fitted with a 5-speed ‘dog-leg’ gearbox, a limited-slip differential, Willwood vented disc brakes, and a hydraulic handbrake. The interior was uprated with a roll cage, Cobra sports bucket seats, 4-point safety harnesses, a Sparco sports steering wheel, a start button and extra dashboard gauges. The car features a ‘Targa’ roof of which the panel can be taken out and stowed away in the rear trunk. This is a very sporty and desirable Porsche 914 ‘Wide Body’ in good condition. A fantastic driver car and an ideal sports car to enter historic rally events! The car is currently registered in Belgium.
