The Waldbrand Fortress Museum in Beatenberg was not only one of the largest artillery works of the Swiss Army, but is now also a piece of contemporary history. The long tunnels in the mountain give an impression of the efforts made during the Second World War and the Cold War to defend Switzerland.
In addition to the typical fortress furnishings, the Waldbrand Fortress Museum also houses exhibitions – from armoured vehicles, flab cannons to firearms and radios.
