Alfa Romeo Alfetta 1800 – 1972

Alfa Romeo Alfetta 1800 Year of construction 1972. First registration 21 July 1972. Chassis number AR*2006042*, engine number AR*01608*03951*. Colour light yellow (Giallo Piper, AR colour code AR116) combined with a blue fabric interior.

This beautiful Alfetta 1800 was sold new in Italy, the car was imported to the Netherlands in December 2001. The odometer currently reads 65,679 kilometers. The Alfettas from the early seventies are a rare sight in our time.

This beautiful example is in very good condition. The excellent bodywork has been repainted in the past in the original colour. The car has been well maintained over the years; service and repair invoices are available. The Alfa Romeo Alfetta was introduced in 1972.

It was Alfa Romeo’s first mid-size sedan in ten years. Alfa Romeo introduced the new rear-mounted ‘transaxle’ gearbox/final drive on the Alfetta, which allowed for an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Together with the fully independent suspension, the sporty and powerful aluminium ‘twin-cam’ engine, the disc brakes on all four wheels and the five-speed gearbox, the Alfetta was/is a true sports sedan!

This beautiful example gives the driving experience as the designers intended, a beautiful mix of comfort and sportiness. The engine sound is music to the ears of the enthusiast. The car is well documented and comes complete with two original sets of keys.

Very recent major maintenance done by Bella Macchina, engine removed almost all gaskets replaced, reassembled and made ready. Alfetta drives very well now.
