An ideal combination of classic design and contemporary comfort and driving characteristics: that’s what this Jaguar MkII has to offer. This beautiful, stylish saloon was delivered in 1961 in a left-hand drive version. The car was imported into the Netherlands in 1995. In 2001, the car was passed on to the next owner, who had the car improved on many fronts by a Jaguar specialist: the total investment, including the car itself, amounted to no less than 115,000 guilders! The car is equipped with a ventilated braking system, air conditioning, modern seats and a more powerful 4.2-liter 6-cylinder engine. This engine comes from an XJ6 and produces no less than 220 hp. In addition, the car has been repainted and a gearbox overhaul has been carried out. The invoice for this is present, as well as for the maintenance carried out later. This maintenance has also always been carried out by specialist companies. Other options with which the car is equipped are power steering, central door locking and a radio/CD player.

Thanks to the modifications, the Jaguar is a rare appearance: a beautiful classic but also practical for daily use. Or think of a holiday or road trip. This car will take you to your destination in style, comfort and relatively cheaply thanks to the economical LPG system. The composition is also particularly beautiful in dark green with beige leather upholstery and chrome spoke wheels. The condition is very nice without rust and with nice fits of body parts. In short, a unique opportunity to rack up the miles with this Jaguar that has not been cut back on.

General information about the Jaguar MkII
The MkII was introduced by Jaguar in 1959 as a luxurious but also sporty sedan as the successor to the 2.4 and 3.4-liter models. The sedan with good driving characteristics was originally supplied with a choice of three six-cylinder engines with twin camshafts: 2.4-liter, 3.4-liter or 3.8-liter. In addition, it is equipped with the new Dunlop disc brakes all around instead of drum brakes. Due to its good performance, the MkII achieved great success on the circuit, for which some are still used today. Some famous names who have achieved success include Stirling Moss, Bruce McLaren Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes.
