MG MGB GT V8 – 1974

MGB GT V8, year 1974. Chassis number GD2D1/1255-G, engine number 4860-1180.
The engine is factory original to the car, matching numbers. A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate is present to confirm this. Exterior colour black combined with a grey leather interior and black carpet.
This beautiful MGB GT V8 is a rare and original chrome bumper V8, only 1856 examples were built. This powerful MGB V8 was sold new with right hand drive and in the colour purple.
As the car was restored and overhauled in the past the car was converted to left hand steering and painted black.
The 3.5 Litre V8 engine, gearbox, overdrive, and rear axle where overhauled.
The engine was tuned to fast road specifications, a free-flow exhaust manifold, an oil cooler, electronic ignition and an electric petrol pump were fitted. Furthermore, a rear axle stabilizer kit was installed to cope with the additional power. Since completion of the restoration the car has driven 37.992 kilometres. This MGB GT V8 is in a very good condition and the car drives and sounds delightfully! The car was cherished by the last owner for 28 years, and the complete service history is known and documented.
This wonderful MGB GT V8 features the handsome metal dashboard, the original steering wheel with the red/chrome MG logo in the centre, an original Webasto sliding sunshine roof, and Minilite-style alloy wheels. The original V8 allow wheels are also present.
