Saab 96 2T – 1962

Saab 96 “two-stroke”, year 1962,

Colour grey combined with a two-tone red/grey cloth/ leathercloth interior.
This magnificent Saab 96 was sold new in the Netherlands where the car is still registered.
The car was never restored but very well maintained!
With some renewals and repaint over the last 60 years the car is still for about 85 % original.
This Saab is a gorgeous time capsule in rust free and very good condition!
The brown streaks you see inside the door posts are traces of discoloured glue residue. From new the car has driven only 81.500 kilometres and the car drives, shifts and sounds delightfully.
The original interior is in a wonderful condition, the boot and the engine compartment are fully original and clean.
This beautiful Saab was cherished by five enthusiast owners from day one, the last owner is an avid Saab collector for who we have sold a part of his large collection over the years.
The three cylinder two-stroke engine was completely overhauled, and everything is up to date.
The car features a four-speed gearbox with steering column gear change, a sports steering wheel with a wood rim, and Firestone F-560 tyres.
The autographs of Erik Carlsson and Per Eklund are displayed on the inside of the bonnet.
This Saab 96 “two-stroke” is a unique and super original “survivor” in very good and collectible condition!
