Triumph TR6 – 1970

Triumph TR 6, year 1970. Colour dark red (Damson Red) combined with a black leather interior trimmed with black carpet. Black mohair soft-top and a black vinyl hood cover. This magnificent Triumph TR 6 was sold new in the United States. The car was imported to the Netherlands in 1991 and was cherished by one owner ever since. After arrival in the Netherlands the TR 6 was extensively and beautifully restored, a photo report of the restoration is present. During restoration the engine, gearbox, and overdrive were fully overhauled. This wonderful Triumph TR 6 is in a very good condition, and the car drives and sounds perfectly! Service and repairs were always done by an experienced mechanic. The Triumph TR 6 was produced from 1969 until 1976. The previous TR 4 and 5 Michelotti design was given a new front and rear styling by Karmann of Germany giving the TR 6 a modern and purposeful sporty appearance. This combined with the lusty straight six engine, it’s wonderful exhaust note, the comfy yet sporty interior made the TR 6 the most successful and popular TR to that date. This gorgeous example shows the wonderful original steel wheels and the seats with integrated head rests. The car is fitted with very good and expensive Michelin XVS tyres, special additional bodywork protectors on the bumpers, a MotoLita sports steering wheel with wood rim, a wood shift knob, an aluminium rocker cover, K&N sports air-filters, a Stainless Steel 6 in 1 sports exhaust, S.U. carburettors, and electronic ignition. This TR 6 is a very desirable driver car in a very good condition! This fine British sports car will bring a large and lasting grin to the face of the true enthusiast!
