Chevrolet Impala – 1961

A very rare, beautiful original Impala Bubble Top in fantastic shape.

One of its most-evocative body designs of the era, which especially came alive in the Impala coupe and its distinctive “bubble-top” roofline. This elegant-looking hardtop design with its slim and shapely front and rear pillars accentuating the broad glass areas.
This 2 door design, where the glass meets the body, the louvered lip to the trunk area meets the rear window in a continuously flowing shape. It’s a very handsome car in every aspect.
This year was also the only year for an Impala two-door sedan model. Very few were produced, and it is a very-rare collectible today.
The original Ermine White color paint with the blue accents is in great shape, only some little use spots are to be found. The car is absolutely rust free and all trims and chrome moldings are in excellent shape. Interior is mostly original ( except renewed carpet) and in good shape.
The 283 Cui V8 is in excellent shape and runs as it suppose to do, ready for use for long cruising. The power glide automatic shifts smoothly. To make this Impala just a little bit more sportive it comes with 20″ inch (rear) and 18″ inch Custom wheels and disc brakes in the front. No power steering ( kept original ). It’s been held and stored always inside. Original wheels and cups and added power steering are possible.
This car comes with Dutch license plates.
